DENTURES NEAR YOU
If you have missing teeth, it is important to fill the gap so the surrounding teeth don’t shift out of place and cause misalignment. While a dental bridge is often used as a longer-term solution for missing teeth, a denture is a removable dental device that can be used to fill either one or several missing teeth.
Should I Get a Denture or a Bridge?
The process of fitting a bridge is quite intensive. The teeth on either side of the gap must be filed down and two crowns attached to them. These crowns hold the fake tooth in place. A denture is a less aggressive solution as it only requires a mould of your mouth. This mould will be sent to the dental lab where they will create a custom denture that blends well with your natural teeth.
How Do I Care for My Dentures?
To keep your dentures looking good and free of stains, we recommend that you remove and rinse them after eating. Then brush your teeth and clean your tongue, cheeks, and the roof of your mouth with a soft brush or gauze. Brush your dentures at least once a day and then soak them overnight so they stay moist and retain their shape.
